I think the problem most of people are facing because they only log on to mylot, reply the questions seen on the homepage and then log off or wait for some more questions to come and keep refreshing the page.

When you will open a new window with the "brain busters" link you will find many hundreds of questions asked with "ZERO" replies and what's so special about this?. Well if you will be the first to answer with even some good information so most probably you will be selected as the best answerer as the person who asked the question was already frustrated and will become very happy to see your initiative to answer to his question with quality and he will respect you.
And you know that if your answers are selected as best answers then it effects your money directly, you get more!!

The advantage of posting from "new user disscussions" is you can be the first one to answer to questions and get your self noticed in mylot. Moreover there is a greater chance of getting more best answers award if you answered the questions fast and with 100% quality.

Moreover I have seen some other tricks that mylot is playing with us but I believe that's more like errors in mylot which they don't want us to know about, previously there was no as such rule on getting points and you get one point on anything you do but now its changing and you don't get points on making comment/response to your own started discussions but guess what? you will earn and I think that's what you want so do that!
